Quotes
- The absolute yearning of one human body for another particular body and its indifference to substitutes is one of life's major mysteries. (Iris Murdoch)
- Commitment looks toward a future that cannot be seen, and promises to be there.
- Do you believe in love at first sight, or do I have to walk by again?
- Every day I fall more in love with you
- I tripped over your heart and fell in love.
- If I sent you a flower every time I thought of you, you would walk forever in a beautiful garden.
- If you love someone, put their name in a circle, instead of a heart,
because hearts can break, but circles go on forever.
- Immature love says: "I love you because I need you." Mature love says: "I need you because I love you." (Erich Fromm)
- In real love you want the other person's good. In romantic love you want the other person. (Margaret Anderson)
- Individually we are commonplace, together we are spectacular.
- It is a curious thought, but it is only when you see people looking ridiculous that you realize just how much you love them. (Agatha Christie)
- Love is a game, the object of which is to discover the object of the game.
- Love is just a word until you find someone to give it a definition.
- Love is a matter of chemistry, sex is physics.
- Love is not losing freedom, it is sharing freedom with another.
- Love is the reason two people sit in the middle of the bench when there is room on both ends.
- Love is too strong a word to say it too early, but it has too beautiful a meaning to say it too late. (Kurt Spiteri Cornish)
- Love is what makes a person who is philosophically opposed to monogamous sexual relationships on the grounds that jealousy and possessiveness between women and men are not intrinsic to human nature but simply the outmoded by-product of a decadent Capitalistic system take it all back.
- Love means never having to say "What was your name again?"
- LOVE: two vowels, two consonants, two fools.
- The magic of first love is our ignorance that it can ever end. (Benjamin Disraeli)
- Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift.
- No one is perfect until you fall in love with them.
- The power of a glance has been so much abused in love stories, that is has come to be disbelieved in. Few people dare now to say that two beings have fallen in love because they have looked at each other. Yet it is in this way that love begins, and in this way only. The rest is only the rest, and comes afterwards. Nothing is more real than these great shocks which two souls give each other in exchanging this spark. (Victor Hugo)
- Relationships are like a dance, with visible energy racing back and forth between partners. (Colette Dowling)
- This was love at first sight, love everlasting: a feeling unknown, unhoped for, unexpected--in so far as it could be a matter of conscious awareness; it took entire possession of him, and he understood, with joyous amazement, that this was for life. (Thomas Mann)
- We may never learn all there is to know about Love...
But every day together will teach us a little more about ourselves...
And the special kind of happiness we can bring to each other.
I'm glad I'm learning about Love with You!
- What a wonderful, wonderful feeling when liking turns to loving.
- When I fall in love it will be forever.
- When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible. (from When Harry Met Sally)
- You are what happened when I wished upon a star.
- You have to walk carefully in the beginning of love; the running across fields into your lover's arms can only come later when you're sure they won't laugh if you trip. (Jonathan Carroll)
- You should have seen the way he looked at me.
Smiling
(author unknown)
Don't go for looks; they can deceive.
Don't go for wealth; even that fades away.
Go for someone who makes you smile
It takes only a smile to make a dark day bright.
Find the one that makes your heart smile.
Page Ideas
- Title a dating album "Is He the One?". On each page put photos a former boy friend with the words "I think he's the one". At the bottom put a cut up photo of him with the words "No, he's not!" On the last page put a photo of your husband with the words "I finally found true love" or something similar.
- On the left side put small photos of former boyfriends, on the right a large photo of your husband. On the left page use the title "You have to kiss a lot of toads...". On the right page "to find your handsome prince".
- Make a pocket on your page that is shaped like a mailbox to put love notes or letter. Or make a pocket page with mailbox on the front if you have lots of notes. If you exchanged emails print them and include them as well.
- Use the title "Flowers From _____". Draw green stems coming from the bottom of the page. Put a ribbon a few inches from the bottom so it looks like they are tied in a bunch. Or cut a vase shape and put the stems coming out of the top of it. At the end of the stems put photos of flowers that your boyfriend gave you. Also use the cards that came with the flowers, dried flowers that have been laminated or flower die-cuts.
