The Vermont State Flag
The rectangular flag is deep blue. A shield is in the center surrounded by pine boughs. The scene on the shield has a large pine tree, a cow and sheaves of wheat with the Green Mountains in the distance. Below the shield are the name "Vermont" and the state motto, "Freedom and Unity", displayed on a crimson banner. At the the top of the shield is a stag's head.
